Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app --- available on the Apple App Store --- which helps you transcribe voice recordings, process them into text, and work with that text in various formats.

By using the app, you agree to this policy. If you're not comfortable with anything outlined here, we recommend not using the app.

Our mobile application (the "App") is designed to provide tools for transcribing voice recordings, refining text, and transforming it into different formats using advanced processing technologies. The App is intended solely for personal, non-commercial use. Users may create, save, and share text generated through the App, but they may not sell or otherwise commercially exploit it without prior written consent. Some of the App's functionality relies on third-party services that support transcription, text processing, analytics, and subscription management.

To enable core functionality and provide technical support, we collect and process the following categories of information:

A. Permissions

Microphone access: Required to record and transcribe your voice into text.
File access: Required if you choose to upload or import audio files for transcription.
Device and technical data: Such as device type, operating system, app version, language settings, and anonymous identifiers.
Usage data: Such as interactions with the App, session length, features accessed, and error or crash reports.
Subscription and transaction data: Processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. We do not collect, access, or store your payment details.
Generated content (transcriptions and text): Which may be stored temporarily to allow you to edit, save, or share. We do not use this content for any other purpose without your consent.

B. Crash Reports & Analytics

To improve stability and performance, we use services such as Firebase for crash reports, analytics, and performance monitoring. These tools only collect anonymized technical data.

3. Legal Basis for Data Processing

We process your personal information only when there is a valid legal basis for doing so. This includes:

To provide and maintain the functionality of the App.
To fulfill contractual obligations related to subscriptions and premium features.
To comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

To pursue legitimate business interests, such as improving performance, ensuring security, and analyzing aggregated usage patterns.

4. How We Use Your Data

The information we collect is used strictly to support the operation and continuous improvement of the App. In particular, we use data to:

Provide you with access to transcription and text processing features.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes under any circumstances. Any third-party providers integrated into the App (for example, analytics or subscription services) process data only to support its core functionality and in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Data Security

We take the security of your interactions with the App seriously and apply industry-standard measures to protect them. This includes:

Technical safeguards: Encrypted connections when transmitting data to our processing partners (e.g., AssemblyAI, OpenAI) and controlled access to technical logs.
Organizational safeguards: Internal policies and procedures designed to minimize the risk of misuse or unauthorized access.

Although no system or method of transmission over the internet can ever be completely secure, we continuously monitor, review, and improve our practices to reduce vulnerabilities and respond promptly to potential threats.

7. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds

All purchases and subscription payments are securely processed through the Apple App Store. We never have access to your personal payment details.

Refunds must be requested through Apple Support, not through us directly.

If Apple contacts us for refund verification, we may provide limited, anonymized data related to your in-app purchase to help assess eligibility. This may include:

Time since app installation
Total usage duration
Anonymous user or device identifier
Whether the content or features were consumed or used
Whether a trial period was included
Total amount spent and/or refunded

We only share what's strictly necessary to support the refund process and nothing else.

8. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

To deliver and improve the App, we rely on a limited set of trusted third-party service providers. These services may process certain technical or anonymized data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

- Adjust -- Analytics and attribution service provider

- Facebook (Meta Platforms) -- Analytics and ad management

- Google LLC -- Infrastructure and analytics

- AssemblyAI -- Transcription of voice files

- Firebase (Google LLC) -- Crash reporting and diagnostics

- OpenAI -- AI text processing (for features such as the AI Editor)

- Apple App Store -- Payments and subscription management

- Amplitude -- Usage analytics

We share data only when necessary for technical or contractual purposes, and we anonymize it wherever possible.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or process personal information from individuals below this age. If we become aware that data has been inadvertently collected from a minor, it will be promptly deleted.

Depending on your location and applicable data protection laws, you may have the right to:

Access a copy of the data we hold about you
Request deletion of locally stored settings or usage data
