"PDF Doc Scanning App - NexScan" is a utility application designed to help users capture, convert, and manage documents by turning images into high-quality PDF files. It also provides tools to add signatures to documents.
The App does two main things:
- Scans documents using your device's camera or imported images from your gallery and converts them into PDF.
- Allows you to add signatures to documents you create or import.
All of this happens with your permission and under your control. Most processing happens directly on your device and not in the cloud.

A. Permissions and Access

- Your camera, to capture document scans.
- Your photo library and file storage, to import images or documents for conversion into PDF.

B. Automatically Processed Info
To power scanning, we process some data automatically on your device:
- Metadata such as image resolution, orientation, and file information needed to perform scanning and PDF creation.
- Anonymous behavior data for improving app performance and user experience.
Nothing is uploaded to or stored on our servers, and we do not access or keep your personal content.
C. Crash Reports & Analytics
To make the App more stable, we use services like Firebase and Amplitude for crash reports and performance monitoring. These tools only collect anonymized technical data.

All purchases and subscription payments are securely processed through the Apple App Store. We never have access to your personal payment details.
Refunds must be requested through Apple Support, not through us directly.
If Apple contacts us for refund verification, we may provide limited, anonymized data related to your in-app purchase to help assess eligibility. This may include:
- Time since app installation.
- Total usage duration.
- Anonymous user or device identifier.
- Whether the content was consumed or used.
- Whether a trial period was included.
- Total amount spent and/or refunded.
We only share what is needed to support the refund process and nothing else.
6. Data Security

- We do all sensitive processing, such as scanning, image handling, PDF generation, and document signing, directly on your device.
- Any stored settings are encrypted, where possible.
- Access to diagnostic data is restricted and anonymized.
Despite our safeguards, no digital system is completely secure. We recommend backing up important data before deletion or modification within the App.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or process personal information from individuals below this age. If we become aware that data has been inadvertently collected from a minor, it will be promptly deleted.
